Evil Dead Rise Review

So as a horror movie, Evil Dead Rise hits all the marks – it’s scary and gory, and there are a lot of jump scares and OMG moments. It looks and feels like a horror movie and the setting is genuinely terrifying. Outside of that, the movie is average at best. The makers of this movie didn’t even try to be original in the premise. If you’ve seen the previous Evil Dead movies, omitting Army Of Darkness, then you’ve seen this movie already.

The way the movie ended, I can see the setup for a franchise; however, I’m predicting a weak box office will halt those planes immediately.

6/10, and I’m being generous. Wait for it to hit HBO Max in a couple of weeks.
