SONY, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM! It’s serious (or not) and it may ruin (or not) Morbius and any of the forthcoming SONY and MCU movies surrounding Spider-Man. The problem I’m referring to is Adrian Toomes aka The Vulture who first appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Here’s why he is a problem. Now that it’s confirmed that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man movies took place in the MCU, we now know that Vulture and Scorpion are also in the MCU. Eddie Brock/Venom, who first got transported to the MCU via an end-credit scene in Venom: Let There Be Carnage and confirmed in another end-credit scene in ‘No Way Home’, subsequently being sent back to the SMU (Sony Cinematic Universe) after Dr. Strange sent the multiverse villains back to their respective universes.
This presents a problem for the upcoming ‘MORBIUS’ movie where Vulture is set to show up. How SONY plans on explaining how Vulture shows up in MORBIUS, has not yet been revealed. This could possibly be an alternate version of the Toomes, however, that explanation would just complicate things even more. We know that Tom Holland’s Peter Parker DOES NOT exist in the SNU. Which would mean that there is another version of Peter Parker in the SNU (see screenshot).
The more I think about it, I feel Toomes showing up in the MORBIUS trailer is just a cheap attempt for SONY to say, “SeE, iT’s AlL cOnNeCtED”.

We’ll have to wait until ‘MORBIUS’ drops to get an explanation. Maybe.
